Two recent video models with native sound. MiniMax H3 has open weights and takes reference images, videos and audio; FLUX 3 Max makes clips up to 20 seconds and returns them fast. The figures are published by others and sourced at the bottom; we made no head-to-head test. We sell FLUX 3 Max only.
FLUX 3 Max: 180 credits for a 5-second clip at 720p. Failed videos are free.
A failed video is refunded.
H3 is the more open and more controllable model. MiniMax published its weights on 3 August 2026, takes up to 12 reference files, and ranks above FLUX 3 Max on Artificial Analysis' image-to-video board: MiniMax H3 at 1131 (rank 3 to 7) against FLUX 3 Max at 1065 (rank 11 to 13), both read on 3 November. On the text-to-video board the two are level, 1162 and 1157, with overlapping intervals.
FLUX 3 Max is the longer and faster one. It makes 5 to 20 second clips where H3 makes 4 to 15, and fal's own benchmark has a 10-second 720p clip in 12.45 seconds on Max against 83.26 for MiniMax H3 at 768p.
There is a third name in the way. fal also serves MiniMax H3 Max, its own post-trained version, which fal lists as faster than FLUX 3 Max (7.55 seconds for a 10-second clip) and, at FLUX 3 Max's regular price, cheaper per second ($0.08 at 768p in fal's September article). If speed and price are all you care about, look at H3 Max too. We do not offer either H3.
Figures as published by the sources at the bottom. Elo values are Artificial Analysis' human-preference scores with 95 percent intervals, read on 3 November 2026. H3 here is the 768p model, as Artificial Analysis lists it.

It is the one you can download, fine-tune and run on your own hardware at 768p. FLUX 3 Max runs only on fal's servers.
Up to nine images, three videos and three audio clips in one generation, which FLUX 3 Max does not take.
Up to 20 seconds against 15, with a first and a last frame to steer the ending. The clips below are 15 and 20 seconds.
12.45 seconds for a 10-second clip, against 83.26 for H3 at 768p on fal's benchmark. Against fal's H3 Max, Max is slower, and at its regular price it costs more per second.
Three clips from 3 November 2026: 15 seconds, 20 seconds and a vertical one. We did not make MiniMax clips, so there is nothing to put beside them; judge each on its own.
Skip it if you want open weights, if you need to steer a clip with several reference images, videos or audio files, or if the best image-to-video score on Artificial Analysis' board is what you are shopping for: on the sources we read, MiniMax H3 is ahead on each. Skip it for 2K or 4K output too, or if you want the lowest regular price per second, where fal's H3 Max is listed below it.
Pick it when you want clips up to 20 seconds, a first and last frame, and a turnaround of seconds, and when the text-to-video board having it level with H3 is enough for you.
A 5-second clip at 720p costs 180 credits (36 a second); 1080p costs 62 a second. Buy a pack once and use it whenever you like. Bigger packs bring the price of a clip down from $1.78 to $1.50.

fal sells FLUX 3 Max and H3 Max, so its speed figures are its own benchmark. fal's H3 prices are from its article of 1 September and may have changed. Artificial Analysis' boards change as votes arrive; read the live pages for today's numbers.
Neither is better on every count. MiniMax H3 has open weights, reference inputs and a higher Artificial Analysis image-to-video score. FLUX 3 Max makes longer clips and returns them faster. On the text-to-video board the two are level.
FLUX 3 Max on fal's own benchmark: 12.45 seconds against 83.26 for H3 at 768p for a 10-second clip. fal's other model, H3 Max, is listed faster still at 7.55 seconds.
Its weights are published under the MiniMax H3 Community License, and MiniMax says the open weights make 768p video; 2K needs its API. FLUX 3 Max's weights are not published.
FLUX 3 Max: 5 to 20 seconds. MiniMax H3: 4 to 15 seconds, according to MiniMax.
On fal, FLUX 3 Max is $0.17 a second at 720p, with a 75 percent promotion until 7 November 2026. fal's article of 1 September lists H3 at $0.06 and H3 Max at $0.08 a second at 768p. Artificial Analysis lists $4.35, $4.80 and $9.60 per minute for Max, H3 and H3 Max.
fal Research's post-trained version of MiniMax H3, served on fal. fal's page for FLUX 3 Max says both come from the same team and share one API.
