FLUX 3 Max is a video model. You give it a text prompt, a photo, or a first and a last frame, and it makes a 5 to 20 second video with sound. It is a faster, post-trained version of FLUX 3, Black Forest Labs' first video model, made by fal Research with Black Forest Labs and released on fal in October 2026. This site runs it for you in the browser.
Is FLUX 3 Max free?
Not unlimited, but your first clip is free: new accounts get 180 credits when they sign up, with no card needed, which covers one 5-second 720p video. After that you buy credits once, from the smallest pack, and a failed video does not use credits.
Who made FLUX 3 Max, Black Forest Labs or fal?
Both. Black Forest Labs built FLUX 3 and fal Research trained Max on top of it. At launch it ran only on fal. Flux3Max.io is an independent service that sends your request to fal; it is not affiliated with Black Forest Labs or fal.
FLUX 3 Max vs FLUX 3: what is the difference?
FLUX 3 is the base model. Max is the version tuned for speed: fal's own benchmark has a 10-second 720p clip in about 12 seconds for Max against about two minutes for FLUX 3. Max makes 720p and 1080p video; there is no 4K.
Is FLUX 3 Max open source? Can I download it?
Not today. FLUX 3 Max runs on fal's servers and its weights are not published, so there is nothing to download and run yourself. You use it through a service like this one.
How long can a video be, and in what resolution?
From 5 to 20 seconds, in 720p or 1080p, in shapes from vertical (9:16) to ultra-wide (21:9). Longer clips and 1080p cost more credits per second, and the price shows before you start. Sound is generated with the video and can be switched off.
Does FLUX 3 Max make sound?
Yes. The sound is generated together with the picture, so the clip arrives with its own audio track. Turn Sound off in the options if you want a silent video.
How much does Flux3Max.io cost?
A 5-second clip at 720p uses 180 credits (36 a second); at 1080p each second uses 62, and a clip can run up to 20 seconds. The price shows next to the button before you start. Packs run from $9.90 for 1,000 credits (5 clips at 720p) to $149.90 for 18,000 credits (100), so the more you buy the less each second costs. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no auto-renewal, and your credits do not expire while your account is active.
Whose photos can I use as a first or last frame?
Only photos you have the right to use: your own, or an adult's who has clearly agreed. Photos of children, celebrities and other people who have not agreed are not allowed, and neither is anything illegal or sexual. Photos go through a safety check before they are used, and the description you type is checked too. See the Content Policy.
What happens if a video fails?
It costs nothing. A failed video does not use credits, your balance stays as it was and you can try again. A connection timeout does not necessarily mean it failed: a finished video also appears in My videos.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Buy a one-time credit pack through our secure checkout. Buying a pack only adds credits, and you decide when to use them. Your credits do not expire while your account is active.
Can I get a refund?
Unused credits can be refunded within 7 days of purchase. Credits already used are not refunded, and a failed video is not charged. See the Refund Policy for duplicate charges and outages, or contact support about an existing order.
