Short clips took 10 to 34 seconds for 5 seconds of video, and 15 and 20 second clips about 100 seconds. All clips here have sound except the ink one. The clips on this page are the originals re-encoded for the web.

What these clips are, and what they are not

Every clip on this page was made on this site with FLUX 3 Max, a video model from fal Research and Black Forest Labs, through the same tool you use. Nothing was edited, sped up or cut. We made 24 and show 19; the other five are not here, and none of the 24 was retouched.

The first and last frames that start an image clip are pictures we generated with an image model, so no real person is shown. A clip tells you what the model can do on a good prompt; the same words give a different clip on every run, so expect to run a prompt more than once.

FLUX 3 Max example questions

Were these clips edited?

No. They are the files FLUX 3 Max returned, re-encoded to a smaller size for the web. We chose which ones to show, and we did not touch the clips.

How many tries did each take?

Most were the first run. Two prompts took a second run with a better prompt because the first came back almost still: the sneaker on a turntable and the café window.

Can I reuse a prompt?

Yes. Use this prompt loads the words, the length, the shape and the frames into the tool. Change a word or two and run it.

Why do some clips look better than others?

The model does best with a clear subject, a camera move and a sound cue. Calm scenes with little to animate, like the windmill, give gentle motion only.

How long did a clip take to make?

Between 10 and 34 seconds for 5 seconds of video, and about 100 seconds for the 15 and 20 second clips. The table above lists every one.

What did these clips cost to make?

180 credits for 5 seconds at 720p, which is 36 credits a second; 1080p is 62 a second. The price shows before you start, and new accounts get 180 free credits.
